| I would also like to say how much we enjoyed staying in your lovely cottage. As seasoned cottage holiday-makers we still pack basic cleaning equipment just in case the online photographs and descriptions have 'over-egged' a property! In the case of Swallows Nest however, the photographs simply didn't do it justice and in fact, it was perfect in every way. Hebden itself is delightful and everyone we met was lovely to us. It was enchanting to wake up and look out over fields full of lambs every morning. I can't remember a more relaxing week and we all look forward to being back there is August. warm and cosy, and so beautifully decorated. We really appreciated
all the thoughtful touches of Christmas decorations, the wine,
chocolates and card. And the cottage was fantastically well

Dear Suzanne and Bob, Just had to let you know how much we enjoyed staying in your lovely house in Hebden. We really appreciated all the creature comforts, especially the drying room!!!! and much admired the decor and furnishings. Despite the changeable weather we walked miles, along the Dales way to the Red lion, Grassington, from Malham gorge to Malham tarn and from Kettlewell to I can't remember the name of the place- to name just a a few of our walks, we also sampled the ale in many pubs, and on one very wet day even sampled the hot chocolate in the school house! We had a wonderful week, even if the weather was mostly dull, and a bit damp & drizzly at times - the drying room was brilliant for the washing, & drying out towels & walking boots. So much to do round & about - we went to Bolton Abbey & the Strid, East Riddlesden Hall & the Bronte Parsonage, Brimham Rocks & Fountains Abbey / Studley Royal, Gordale Scar & Malham Cove & Tarn, as well as local walks to Grassington & Burnsall. Lovely food & beer at the Clarendon Arms & only a short stagger away! Such a lovely cottage too - if it was nearer & I had it, I'd want to spend all my weekends there! Gill Macrae, August 23 2008 |

Just wanted to
let you know how much we enjoyed our week at Swallows Nest. We
thought that the house was absolutely superb
and is probably the best we have ever stayed in. It was
immaculate on arrival and had everything we needed for the week.
The only problem we had was that we ran out of time - a week was
clearly not long enough!
